Thermal Performance and Compliance

At Straight 2 Trade Double Glazing in Ayr, we understand the importance of thermal performance. Our Portico Doors have a warm foam core, offering a significantly better 'U' value than any other option on the market. Our entire range meets the requirements of the current Building Regulations, ensuring your projects in Ayrshire are compliant and energy-efficient.

FLiP Cassette System: Innovation at Its Best

Our Portico Doors also feature the exclusive FLiP Cassette system, designed by DoorCo and made in the UK. This innovative glazing cassette uses Foam in Place technology, delivering a superior seal and offering endless possibilities when it comes to designing your door.

The Full Portico Collection

Beyond our popular ORiGINAL range, Portico's composite doors also come in Cottage, Contemporary Flush and Urban styles — over 30 designs in total — so there's a genuine fit whether you're after a traditional look for an Ayrshire cottage, something for a new-build, or a sleek, modern front door. Choose from more than 20 standard colours, including woodgrain-effect finishes, or ask us about a bespoke RAL colour match.

Every Portico door comes with the Ultion 3 Star PLUS lock as standard — Police Preferred Specification, with the UK's thickest key and a hidden LockDown Mode that engages automatically if someone tries to force the door. Add the optional Ultion KeyTag and you can locate your key through Apple's Find My app, and the Yale SensCheck sensor lets you check your door's open/closed status from your phone. All doors meet current Building Regulations for thermal performance and come with a 10-year guarantee.

Typical lead time on a Portico order is 4 to 8 weeks, and installation is usually completed in a few hours.
